General

Title King Cyrus sets food before the image of Bel; Daniel and his servants strew ashes on the floor of the temple, the priests of Bel, with their wives and children, enter the temple through a hidden corridor and feast on the food during the night, Daniel gives food to the dragon; King Cyrus looking on, the priests of Bel and their relatives are arrested; they are put to death afterwards, Daniel destroys the temple of Bel and its image, the prophet Habakkuk, carried by his hair by an angel, brings food to Daniel who sits unharmed between the lions
